Stanmore Jafferys Netball have been part of a Watford league for several years. However, this year we strategically decided to enter as a more competitive team. We held trials at the end of August and Alhamdulillah had a great turn out. We called an external coach to watch and note down players who were at the more advanced level and who also played well as a team. We had a very high level of experienced and also new players enter the trial. To pick a set squad proved difficult. However based on the coaches feedback and positions the final squad is as follows:
Fatma Ali, Sumayya Bandali, Samina Govani, Ayman Daya, Tahira Mahdiyya Khaki, Saman Khaku, Asiyah Merali, Nailah Merali, Safiyya Merali, Zahra Merali, Nayla Somji, and Salma Mirza
The girls have had a decent start to the matches. Scores are as follows:
SJ v Warriors Purple 13-16
SJ v Wasps 18-26
SJ v Tring Tigers 10-16
