‘Switch it up’ Tournament – 4th February 2020

The tournament took place on 4th February at St. Helens School. An innovative and exciting concept from one of our very own netball coordinators, the idea behind this tournament was to have an evening where players could play in positions they are not accustomed to and maybe even find a new favourite!

The rules were simple. In each game, players had to play a different position to their previous game. The order of rotation was GK-GD-WD-C-WA-GA-GS.

The finals had a slightly different twist – the captain of each team had to randomly pick positions for the opposing team from a hat!

We had a whopping six teams signed up – by far our most popular tournament! Every team played amazingly and there were definitely signs of new talent coming through.

The final found Team Red and Team Yellow fighting it out for the all important win! As always there could only be one winner – congratulations to Team Red consisting of Naznin Merali (captain), Sana Pirmohamed, Ayman Kanji, Tanweer Datoo, Siddiqa Hassanali, Fatema Dewji (N) & Sukaina Datoo (Chuzi).

Thank you to everyone who took part!
