Netball League Winter 2022

Stanmore Jafferys Netball have been part of a Watford league for several years. A strategic decision was made in September 2021 to enter as a more competitive team. This yielded some wins for SJ for the season with plenty of positives coming out of a consistent team who have begun to gel and play well together. 

With the upcoming Winter season from January-March 2022, we, once again, held trials in November and Alhamdulillah had a great turn out. We called an external coach to watch and note down players who were at the more advanced level and who also played well as a team. We had a very high level of experienced and also new players enter the trial. To pick a set squad proved difficult. However based on the coaches feedback and positions the final squad for the next season is as follows: 

Fatma Ali, Samina Govani, Ayman Daya, Saman Khaku, Nailah Merali, Zahra Merali, Nayla Somji, and Salma Mirza 

Subs: Tanweer Datoo, Tahira Mahdiyya Khaki, Zayn Rajan, Seema Sheikh

The girls are all set to build on last season and we wish the squad all the best for their future matches.
