Seven brave ladies took on the challenge of completing a Half Marathon for World Federation’s incredible campaign – the Ali Asghar Water Appeal.
The half marathon which was due to be held at Richmond was rescheduled due to the Queen’s passing, but SJ being SJ managed to finalise an event between Stanmore and Harrow with the same distance. Read more about the event here
To honour our ladies and the marshals who stepped in last minute the night before the event to assist us, we held a dinner celebrating their achievements. The evening was filled with laughter and stories of their running journeys, as well as a very interesting game of two truths and a lie. But we shan’t say more, As what happens at a ladies dinner, stays at a ladies dinner!
Lastly, gifts were presented to our running coordinator Tara Khaku, as well as the run leader on the day of the half marathon Sakina Sidik to show our appreciation to them.
