Thank you all for trialling for the VanCity Tournament in Vancouver, Canada which will inshallah take place May 23rd to 24th, 2025, with a Gala dinner on the 25th.
Please find below key information about the tournament as well as a link to confirm your interest. Please only do so if you are intending to attend and would be in a position to book flights/pay fees.
At this juncture, we would like to outline our expectations:
As the club that represents the Stanmore Jamaat in the sporting arena, we have two key responsibilities when it comes to squad selection for a competitive event like VanCity where spaces are limited:
- Providing every member of Stanmore Jafferys with a fair and equal opportunity to attend trials and gain selection
- Objectively selecting a squad that provides Stanmore with the best possible chance of competing for the trophy
Given the two criteria above, Stanmore Jafferys will then select a squad to represent the club at VanCity, communicate this to you all and request confirmations from those selected (with those selected being given the option to accept or decline their space).
SJ Internal Timelines
- Friday 10th January – Deadline to confirm interest to represent Stanmore Jafferys at VanCity.
- Tuesday 14th January – Provisional list of players selected to represent Stanmore Jafferys at VanCity will be released.
- Friday 24th January – All players selected need to provide flight details and/or entry fee to be paid.
The deadlines set by the host are tight and stringent. We have therefore set out the registration process to enable us to meet these deadlines.
Cost/Accommodation
- Ladies participant with accommodation is GBP£275.
Please note that this DOES NOT include flights. However, it does include daily meals (breakfast at the hotel and food at the sporting venues).

Check out date: 26 May – 11am
For those who intend on coming with your families, separate arrangements can be made depending on individual requests. However, additional charges will apply.
Check in before 22nd May and check out after 26th May will also incur additional charges.
