On 15th Sha’baan / Sunday 28th March, in celebration of the Wiladat of our 12th Imam (as), Stanmore Jafferys held a family scavenger hunt, ‘Marching With The Mahdi’.
The event was about appreciating the true beauty of the nature around us while utilising outdoor exercise by walking together as families to search for the items which were emailed to the participants upon sign up. Alongside the items list, a document was sent which included ‘talking points’ in which we suggested ideas of how to link the items to ways in which participants could connect to the 12th Imam (as) and Allah (swt).
The response was incredible with over 70 families participating from the UK and even Dubai! The time and effort everyone put into the scavenger hunt was amazing and we would like to thank everyone who took part.
The day was buzzing with photos and videos using the hashtag #SJMarchingWithTheMahdi – from the items the families found, how they connected it to the 12th Imam (as) and Allah (swt) and especially of young children enjoying their hunt!
