This years SJLS Sports Day was held on Wednesday 31st May, and it was done this way as it was half term therefore, our youth could come along and engage and assist our seniors. Seeing the youth mixing with seniors was heart warming.

The day was filled with games and races as you would see at a usual school sports day, such as the egg and spoon race, as well as a ring toss. But this year, we had a few new games added into the mix including an M&M separation game in which the seniors had to organise the chocolates based on their colours, as well as a cup game which tested speed!

Arguably, the most exciting race was the relay, in which half of each team was lined up at either end of the ladies long room, and they had to race it out.
It was brilliant to see our seniors relive aspects of their youth.

Alhamdulillah, it was an incredible day. A huge thank you to our volunteers  without whom we would not have been able to do this event.
