We hope you have all been training hard in preparation for AAWA 2020 which was due to take place on Sunday 4th October 2020.
After carrying out a risk asessment of the course today (3rd October), we have unfortunately had to make the very difficult decision to postpone the ride to Sunday 11th October due to poor weather (heavy rain and wind) which has meant the course is not safe to ride
We appreciate how disappointed you all are after the initial postponement and we are very grateful to each and every one of you for your patience and support to the whole SJ Cycling Team as we worked through these difficult decisions which once again create impact on our group but also to our professional and family diaries.
Your cycling coordinators will now work to ensure we can get the sportive underway next Sunday 11th October in a safe manner.
You will be kept informed of any logistical differences on how we had planned the original event and we will send you a detailed plan for the day in due course.
For now, we wanted to make sure you can pencil this in your diaries and ensure you keep up with your training.
We are looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you on the 11th so we can offer this gift to Imam Hussain (as) and Bibi Zainab (sa), and make a difference together.
Mashallah our combined efforts have raised over £96k to impact humanity; lets come together once more to see how great an impact we can make.
