Stanmore Jafferys launched a photo competition that took place for a week between 2nd and 10th October.
The aim of the competition was to get our members active whilst appreciating the beautiful nature and exploring the bounties of Allah (SWT). Participants were encouraged to take and share photos relating to a sporting activity.
The photo competition gave participants the opportunity to Stop, Pause and Shoot moments that we often take for granted. We were overwhelmed by the response; we received a huge number of beautiful entries daily during the week from participants in different parts of the world. It was lovely to see all ages participate and get involved. We could see participants appreciating nature and exploring the outdoors in the photos they shared of sunrises and sunsets, morning and evening walks, hiking, cycling, their own beautiful gardens and so much more!
All participants had to do is take a photo, post it to their Instagram story and tag @stanmorejafferysladies, along with the hashtag #sjphotocompetition. For participants who did not have Instagram they could still take part by emailing their entry to ladiesinfo@jafferys.org.
Shortlisting the 5 best photos from so many we received was a difficult decision as all the photos were unique and beautiful in their own way. The 5 photos selected by the judges were posted to the @stanmorejafferysladies Instagram story for members to vote for the best 3. The winner received a £50 Amazon voucher. 2nd place received a £30 Amazon voucher and 3rd place received a £20 Amazon voucher which were all emailed to the participants directly.
We would like to thank all those who took part in the photo competition, we absolutely loved receiving all of your entries and looked forward to them daily. A huge thank you to those who voted and helped us choose the best 3 photos.
